Volunteers play a critical role in the day to day quality of our operations. Without volunteers, we would never be able to provide the current level of programs and services to rescue and assist the animals and the community. There are numerous programs, projects, and activities in need of your energy and talents.

You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer. We do allow junior volunteers at least 10 years old to assist their parents in various volunteer opportunities. All applicants are required to attend an orientation and sign a waiver which covers our policies and philosophy.

Many of our volunteer opportunities, especially those working hands-on with the animals, require a hands-on orientation, Where volunteers are paired with a staff member or experienced volunteer for buddy training sessions. Attendance at these training sessions requires a somewhat flexible schedule.
